I see that Lanier is from this school. Well I got curious with what UGAG has already for 2009. Seems they have hit this school pretty hard with a RB and WLB. My question is should we be concerned about keeping a recruit like this? Also what are the chances of countering this to benefit GT, possibly by Lanier recruiting these guys away. Anyways seems that there is a boatload of talent on this HS team. Was this just a steal or can CPJ have some leeway w/ a team that UGA has hit pretty hard.

I hope we don't have to worry about Lanier going to the mutts. From some of his quotes after his committment he seemed really into GT and very solid. However, signing day is a year away and anything can happen.

As far as the 2 that UGA got...

The RB Ealey, from what I have heard and read he would not have qualified for GT. IIRC he turns 19 one week after the deadline to play next season, meaning that if he had turned 19 a week sooner he could not play in HS next season. So, he will already be 20 when and if he enrolls.

I am not sure what the story on the LB is. I would think, after looking over our prospect list of the LB's we have offered already, that he would have been behind some of those guys even if he was still available.

The main point should be that the mutts got the a LB and and Running Back that put up some good numbers as Juniors but we got the Dlineman and Olineman that was opening all the holes for them to get those numbers.
