Really proud of the resolve our guys showed today.

To stay on message, it didn't seem to me that UGA showed an overwhelming amount of confidence in Eason today. They basically asked him to hand the ball to Michel and Chubb all day. I haven't seen his stats for the day, but they can be no where near impressive. I'm pretty sure the longest completion he had today was the 3rd down to Nada up the sideline. Otherwise, what he was marginalized. I'll take JT or MJ over that over rated west coast five star all day long

Pretty sure Eason has nothing resembling touch or accuracy on short and intermediate routes. He was throwing 100 mph fastballs a yard or two behind his receivers and people were actually wondering why they were drops or tipped balls.

if you watched the game, you'd know why they kept Eason's throwing to a minimum. They had little trouble running the ball against us all day long. Frankly, and mutt-hurt message boards agree, it was a bizarre play-call to let Eason throw the pass that resulted in the INT that let us have a shot to win the game.

The Gailey Influence: Unnecessarily mixing it up just because you think you should.

"Sir, Tashard Choice is getting 8 ypc. Why would we-..."

"PASS IT!!!"

I checked the stats and was surprised to see that Eason threw the ball 28 times. Didn't seem like that many but ok. Also, 28 attempts is somewhere in the middle so not a radical departure from their normal game plan.

I dunno - felt like they ran the ball 837 times for 11 yards per carry - every one of those Chubb/Michel runs felt like a punch in the gut.
