Two changes I want...The CG show needs

to return to early Sunday afternoon,in a studio format with less music and more highlights,good and bad,and 2-The 790 radio call in show move back to Thurs @1200N.Has Rad said anything about possible changes?

I want to see the white jerseys and black numbers with no trim and gold pants at home again.

I don't know about that but I am definitely not excited to see our guys in the throwback jerseys against UVA on the 21st. But, I think we should wear the white jerseys for at least one home game this year.
 
You must be very young to like them uniform jerseys. Our white with black numerals are classic. Seeing Auburn's, Texas's, Notre Dame's, etc. uniforms jerseys with solid block numerals left me wondering how and in the hell we could ever have got away from our classic white ones.
 
Bring back the Navy jerseys for at least one home game. I like the white jerseys, but not for home games. Don't let your visiting team wear their preferred jerseys "colors". make them wear white. I hate it when georgia comes in with red jerseys.

Exactly, I couldn't stand how UGAy got to wear their disgusting red jerseys at BDS in past years.
 
What? Who cares who or what the away team prefers to wear? White at home is our traditional jersey and we should get back to it. The solid block black numbers without any trim hark back to the days of Bobby Dodd. Bama, Auburn, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Penn State, Southern Cal.....etc schools with Tech like traditions still wear the solid colors and block numerals just as there teams did in the 50's 60's 70's 80's and up to today.

LSU doesn't care if the Georgia wears red, the Tigers will wear white.....I hope Rad does something about our jerseys in the future.

Fine. Let's wear navy shirts and white pants and be done with it if we just can't go back to the uniform we should be wearing: White shirts and Yellow (gold) Britches. The mismatch on metallic helmets and fabric jersey is hideous.
It looks like we don't have enough money.

Until someone comes up with a gold coat of armor we can wear as a jersey, it just won't work. Let Drew Hearn mismatch his clothes, but he needs to leave our colors alone.

If we wear the beige earthtone shirt, we need to wear the white helmet.
 
I will alway's love O'leary for the good things he did for Jacket football, including his DC years and the title, but didn't he put us in those awful shirts originally? I mean with the gold helmet.

At home, didn't we have white jerseys with the mismatched gold numbers in black trim. The numbers were not of the block variety and was very hard to read.

George O'Leary certainly lead us off the right path there. Also his Cental Florida teams have jerseys equally hideous.
 
Seeing the Colts-Giants on tv right now just makes me want to see Tech in white tops, black blocked numerals, and gold britches even more!

The Giants and Colts have very classy uniforms! You could put in a tape of the 1958 NFL Championship game and the uniforms are virtually identical to what they are wearing tonight!

Tech looks like 'queer eye' dressed them up in comparison to what we was wearing in 1958.

Nope. It was very definitely a straight dude that would try to match the "somewhat" similar colors of our home unis. Not that I have a problem with straight men. :laugher:

That gold is awful. If we're going to wear gold, I much prefer the old gold with the white helmets. At least it looks like we meant to look like that. What we have now just looks like we don't have enough money to get the colors right.

And for those worried about the visitors wearing their "preferred" jerseys I say so what. For years white at home was our preferred jersey and some teams complained about that. We should wear what we want, not worry about whoever the visitor is.
 
How did a thread about the call in show turn into another (un)holy war about the uniforms... don't get me wrong, the discussion has its place and if we're bickering about for the most part pointless then that means that our real problems at least appear to be subsiding, but theres already a hundred threads like this and another one could have been started without completely changing the subject of this thread. How many equines have to die? :laugher: :deadhorse:

To the starter of thread: I havent seen anything about those changes to the radio show, but shoot Rad an email, I can almost guarantee he or someone on the staff will get a response back to you within a couple of days. I can tell the man has had some meetings with the local media by the change in their tone about Tech.

It is rather funny that we started another useless argument about our uniforms, from a thread that was about the radio show. :duel:

I couldn't agree more. The is just no way to match the shiny helmet (which i love btw) with a shirt and god forbid if we ever did get a shirt shiny enough to match the helmet, it would be even more hideous.

We need to go with either the blue tops, white tops or if we want to wear a 'gold' home jersey it needs to be the darker gold (similar to Chan's hat) and with the white helmet.

I would personally love to see the blue tops again, or even an all white get up white jersey white pants. The pants would have stripes of course.
