Rivals (if you have a subscription) has a video of our 2 star commit Tyler Melton. Of course it was filmed at a camp and he is in shorts and t-shirt no pads, but OH MAN!!!

Its impressive footage and Melton seems like a very smart well spoken young man. If you have a chance to look at it, I highly recommend it. Rivals is totally worth the subscription. Melton runs awesome routes and gets back to the ball better than anyone I've seen in awhile. His hands are phenomenal. Hard to believe he is only a two star recruit but All-State Texas as a Junior. Something isn't adding up.

I had previously thought that his highlight video was good but not great, but this footage really shows his abilities.

I agree BOR....the AMP clips are always incredible and Melton shows incredible hands, and he is built solid. You are also correct that he is articulate and will represent GT well.

This kid will be an engeneering student and wants to enroll in January. As I've said before , trust our coaches. They're not throwing away schollarships, especially this year.

:laugher: Come on! Trust them? I trust them this year as far as recruiting goes, which is different from the last two. If you trusted them the last two years, then frankly, you need to re-evaluate your opinion.

Why do you not necessarily trust them for the past two years? I do believe that we're probably recruiting better players overall this year than the last few, but I also think we've been recruiting better players than the services have rated them.

Over the last few years, our avg recruiting ranking in the ACC has been the third lowest, only ahead of Duke and Wake. Do you really believe that Maryland, NC State, UVA, UNC, Clemson, and BC all have more talented players than us? Is our coaching really that good that we could have a winning record in a conference in which we only have more talented players than Duke and Wake?

Well I cannot speak for the class of 2006 because frankly we don't know who will contribute. However, I don't see anyone but maybe Marius getting quality minutes.

Of the 2005 class, only one of them provided serious minutes on offense or defense last year and that was Vance Walker who was certainly undervaluated by the recruitniks. Michael Johnson provided some minutes but not many.

Our special teams are littered with young players (due to necessity) who got a lot of minutes but have also been atrocious so I don't know.

I agree that our classes seem underevaluated. But how underevaluated are you when in 2005 we were 11th out of 12 teams in rankings???

I'd say without a doubt NCSU, UVa, and Clemson have better talent than us. BC probably does as well.
