Tyler Trent has died

He was, as Henri Nouwen penned, “a good steward of his pain”. We should all seek to be as good with our own pain and do even more with our blessings. The young man’s life made a difference!

He brought out the best in a lot of people. RIP

What a courageous young man! Hard to believe he went to Purdue's bowl game a few days ago. He inspired so many people. He loved football and, at the same time, put it in its proper perspective. He faced the worst and never failed to "Boiler Up." In his honor, I will say this: I really don't think Purdue would have beaten Ohio State without him. He was football's MVP ("Most Valuable Person") this season. I bet Coach Dodd is congratulating him on how well he played life's game right now.

The only way to cheat death is to face it with courage and dignity. Such as Tyler Trent did.

Sometimes occurences in life help put life in perspective -the Tyler Trent story has been one such occurrence.

Life is a blessing -each and every day. Prayers to the Trent family and the many friends this young man made.
