tyrod Taylor looks as bad as Nesbitt

I have not seen anything that leads me to believe Jaybo or Tevin can pass the ball any better than Nesbitt. I think it is just a case of the back-up QB syndrome, similar to the talk when we had Ball, but Bennett was not an upgrade.

Nesbitt has been missing reads left and right he is not an option QB, he is a Gailey QB. He has lots of heart but no substance in this offense

Nesbitt has trouble with long passes, his shorter passes don't look as bad from what I've seen. He appears to be throwing his long balls rather than passing them. The missed short passes are often due to the recievers juggling proficiency.

As for him missing reads in the option, how can you tell at this point with the O-line getting blown up and A-backs practicing whiff blocks during the game.

Saw a couple on the replay if only he would have taken it outside there would have been lots of daylight....just saying. he seems to rely heavily on the dive at times when he shouldn't

Could someone tell me what the read is when you have two DT's in the backfield as soon as the ball is snapped and two LB's in the backfield as a result of missed blocks?

As long as the blocking is as bad as it is there are no reads for Nesbitt to make.

I agree that Nesbitt's heart, coupled with his athletic ability are his greatest assets. He does miss several reads and doesn't run this offense crisply to date. I don't necessarily think he is the best QB for this offense, but he is the most physically mature. Right now, Jaybo being hurt, we have Nesbitt and Freshmen...that's it. There simply is nothing else. This is not PJ's fault, he only has one full year of recruiting his players. If we still cant find anyone who runs the offense crisply in 3 years, I will be concerned, otherwise, we continue to over-perform with players not designed for the system we are in.

Florida happened to get Tebow in year 1 of Urban Meyer...that made the transition into their option offense much easier...at least we didn't have the issues of Rich Rod last year.

They weren't in there every play. Josh was fine last year when the only thing he had to worry about was running. This whole passing thing has thrown him off a bit

I am not saying Nesbitt needs to be benched. But we have better days to come QB wise. Nesbitt just isn't CPJ's QB.

Whole "passing" thing? If we could be effective running consistently without a pass threat then I doubt anyone, including CPJ, would ask Nesbitt to throw a pass.

But we can't. Even Navy needs a passing "threat" to open up the running game.

Maybe I am wrong it's hard to gauge because you think of the Clemson game on that last drive but then again you think of his efficiency and that's what makes you think

We need to have some threat of passing. I will 100% agree with that. One thing that makes Florida so dangerous is that their scat backs and WR's can catch. Tebow has a mediocre passing game but in their offense he looks like a rock star.

I think that is why CPJ is trying to recruit A backs that have good hands so they can handle the passing out routes he would eventually like to implement.

I think last year we may have caught teams off guard and that helped the inefficiency, but now we need to have some pass completions and no team is afraid of Reggies, I mean Nesbitt's, arm

the offensive line is the difference. Florida runs the spread too, but they don't have undersized linemen. Those dudes average 330 lbs and our line averages about 270. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the problem.

Nesbitt is the best we have... I believe for the rest of this year and next. I'm sure CPJ is not ready to forfeit the next 21 games (plus bowls) because Josh is not "his guy". We can win 9 or 10 games with the players we have IF the coaches are ready to make a few adjustments against their nature. IE coach to the players strength.

In all honesty, if I was a college coach and could have Tyrod or Josh as my QB, I'd pick Josh. Tyrod is the most overrated terrible QB in the NCAA.
