We all knew this was coming. After Glennon dropped a load on the field last weekend, Beamer had no choice but to pull Taylor's redshirt. Article says they'll be sharing duties, but I expect to see much more of Taylor than Glennon.

On behalf of Mr. Johnson, Mr. Richard, Mr. Walker and Mr. Morgan, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome the freshman Mr. Taylor to the ACC.

It will be our pleasure to personally deliver a warm, personalized greeting when we stop by next Saturday.

Note to self: tell broker to load up on whichever company makes Flex-All.

What's Beamer's next move going to be when they stink it up with Taylor in too? Glennon was magnificently bad in that loss, but he wasn't the only wheel that fell off during the game. I think VPISU is in for a long year.

Tyrod Taylor is not a freshman. That was what the strange thing about Beamer redshirting him. He played last year as a freshman, and was pretty effective.

He's a sophomore, he played last year.

Thanks for the correction.

A non-medical redshirt for an effective sophmore? Is Beamer hittin' the bottle again?

Supposedly, Beamer was thinking the team was going to be so bad, that he wanted to save Tyrod for another year, at least the bloggers have posted that. However, most of them were giving an over/under of about 4 games to pull that redshirt, as that porous offensive line needs an athlete like Tyrod behind it to evade all the sacks. :) (This is according to several blogs I have read. Do not have citations, but that was the gist I got from reading them...if anyone has a better opinion, I will stand corrected.)

Glennon did the same thing - red shirted after his frosh year - and was saying that it was the best thing he ever did for his development. I see it paid off last weekend...
