Based on some of the conversations lately on this board I thought you might enjoy beating around this post from another board.... What do you think about this as an argument for the viability of the 3 0 today.
Does anybody remember the 2006 blow-out by Tennessee against Cal? The Cal coaches post-game interview quote was something like this.... 'We tried to simulate at home what it would be like here. We simulated noise, we simulated Tn.s offense, the one thing you can not simulate is speed'
Result:
UT 35 Cal 18
Next week Air Force comes to town running the Triple Option...
Next is a UT propaganda video from youtube ... best I could find.... Check out the team speed of University of Tn.... seems to be devastating to Air Force and the 3 O....
Then check out the score board .... Then check out the final score....

Now check this out: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/recap?gid=200609090071
The UT fans around here that I talk to about the 3 O are in consensus... "That thing is almost impossible to stop" They remember that Air Force made the choice not to tie.... They don't remember the win quite so well...
Maybe defensive speed does not kill the 3 O
Draw your own conclusions... UT fans are believers whether we are yet are not.....
