Anyone wanting to see a nip and tuck football game, last night would have been it.

Two fine teams worked hard and in the closing seconds, GOL reached back in his magic bag and grabbed a field goal kicker to win the game.

Good job UCF

That was an exciting game. Before the game-winning kick CF called their last time out with the ball over on the left hash and I was wondering why they didn't run one more play to center the ball, then burn the last time out. But, I guess the kicker wanted it on the hash because he nailed it. Glad to see GO'L get the win.

One Question ...

why do you refer to them as "fine" teams? I don't believe either of them are in the midst of good years at all.

You are totally right, no doubt.
However, by my just watching and not critiquing the game, they appeared to be pretty much evenly matched and playing with all the heart they could muster. But then again, I'm no pro football examiner. From the game each one played last night, they appeared to me to be FINE football teams, rated or no. Just my 2 cents worth which won't buy much today.

That RB Kevin Smith for UCF is pretty impressive. I hope he isn't injured for the rest of the season. Interesting that Marshall had former UGAg prize recruit Josh Johnson at LB and former UVA prize recruit Ahmad Bradshaw at RB. Guess some 4 star recruits don't always pan out;) .
