A few years ago i picked Stoke as PL team. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment, but I think you have to be a special kind of douche to randomly pick out a top team to follow. Why not just cheer for the Yankees, Patriots and Golden State too.

I lived in Stuttgart for a few years growing up, so I root for them... but that primarily consists of checking the standings every month or so. I really have little attachment for either team, but I do like pulling for some underdogs.

Ancestors are from Blackburn/Blackpool area of England so I'm for Blackburn although I think the ship has sailed on them. Burnley is closest probably although the manchester and liverpool teams arent much different by distance.

I'll probably cheer for Burnley and Everton. I cant cheer for man u or liverpool for obvious reasons (allergic to red).

Red is fine, as long as it's matched with blue instead of black.

I chose Blackpool as the team I would follow in the offseason of 2014. They were in the Championship at the time and this was before a couple dozen players left the club right before the season began. Thank God for Atlanta United.

Agree 100% on this. As a kid I knew very little about international soccer other than the fact that Manchester United was like the Yankees of soccer at the time and I hated David Beckham. So I picked their underdog rival who had been relegated only a couple years prior. It's been cool being a Man City "fan" the last few years.

Premier league starts in like 10 days or so. Bundesliga not until nearly end of August.

How do you guys watch games not being broadcast in the US? Historically I've used Exodus on my FireStick, but it's been hit and miss lately.

It sounds like you might have chlamydia. I would get it checked out.

My grandfather was from Munich so i’ve always been an FC Bayern fan. Most seasons that means Champions League is the only drama though. It’s great to win but some competition is nice every now and then.

Lol, no it’s great. I just am given a hard time by some for being a Bayern fan. The fun years are when someone makes us work for the BL title.

Pretty hard to compete with Bayern when they just gobble up all of the competition's best players. It is what it is; I'm not complaining. Just no need to be condescending about it when that's the reality.

The best way to watch the Bundesliga is to pretend Bayern doesn't exist and 2nd place is the real champion. It's a great league when you look at it that way

like what games are you talking about, specifically? what league? are you also wanting a free service, not willing to buy fox match pass or anything?

I take it you don't have normal cable?

Premier League and Serie A. I have normal cable with 1200 channels but not all games are broadcast. Even NBC Sports Gold doesn't cover all of the games. Right now I VPN into England and use the SkySports and BBC apps, but that's glitchy. Trying to see if there's a better option.

On another topic, 538 has world club predictions out. No surprises, except that MLS ranks as a 2nd tier French league or a 3rd tier English league. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/
