Hey guys... Huge Tech fan... thought I would check the forum out... and was shocked at this



The University of Georgia Opens up a 4 point Favorite against our Jackets at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas Last week...



They released Big Game Lines Last week...


SAT 9/1

wow, the ND line is a bigger shocker to me.

Not a surprise for UGAg IMO, this is supposed to be their year. Their freshman all-world QB is no longer a freshman so their whispering BCS to each other. Not gonna happen cause they return only one OL starter I believe, lost 2 early draft round DL's and their best CB and LB.

We'll get to see how special Stafford really is because he's going to get to run for his life a lot just to get his throws away and it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't playing come November due to injury.
 
if that N.D. line is correct, i'm gonna go ahead and place my bet before the line moves
 
Those lines are correct at the Nugget...The ND line was shocking as well....

The reason the UGA line shocked me is they are extremely young on Defense this year especially the secondary, LInebacker, and defensive end.... They should not be a road fave in any rivalry game

If we were playing UGag in the first game we would prolly be favored by a TD at least, however, by the 11th game of the season, those young, inexperienced players are no longer inexperienced and being the typical UGa recruits, they are very talented with quality backups.

OTOH, while our starters are as good or better than anybody's, after 11 games, they are dinged up at best, playing hurt, or at worst not playing at all, because we don't have the quality depth UGa has.

HOWEVER....this situation has been steadily improving. Progress has been hampered by the scholarship reductions, but our quality depth is probably better this year than since the late 90s.
 
May I ask what the second number is for? I.e. what's the -7.5 in "-9.5 -7.5."

I'm also somewhat shocked by the ND line. Guess they just saw that GT was losing Calvin and suffered the oh-so-crushing loss of a 4-year starter at QB.
 
If those odds are real, I'm thinking seriously about putting down some money on the ND game. Since I won't be going to Vegas in next couple months, does anyone know of any legal/legit on-line betting sites?

I don't want to spam the board, but I work in the sportsgambling Industry and have several Trustworthy offshore sports books That I use and many professional gamblers. Shoot me a PM and we will chat.


The numbers are correct at the Nugget. Not all the sportsbooks will have Lines up this early, but that will Change on the first of August in Vegas and Offshore.

The first one is what it opened at... and these guys who set the Line at these books know the respected gamblers around... So the second number is what it has moved to after the "Sharps" bet into it....Contrary to what many believe it is not the amount of money that will move a line 2 points, it is who bets into it combined with How many places they bet it at and for How much.
 
These lines are just about what I expected.

ND at home with tons of talent replacing their losses. GT with most of the same lower level talent (not my opinion, but it is publicized) and replacing their qb (please don't go off on that) and CJ.

UGA has been a perennial top 5 to 15 team over the last 5 years.
