I thought this was some insightful info on recruiting.

From the Chat. Times Free Press today

Where are they now?
A look at Georgia's recent offensive line signees:
2002
Josh Brock-forced to quit 2005(concussions)
Max Jean-Gilles-Eagles back-up L guard
Daniel Inman-senior starting tight tackle
Antonio Mercier-diagnosed with diabetes and never played
Bartley Miller-forced to quit 2005(shoulder)
Randall Swoopes-dismissed 2004(rules violations)
2003
Trey Chandler-forced to quit 2005(shoulder)
Tommy Gainous-forced to quit(knee)
Nick Jones-senior starting senior
James Lee-transfered SC State
Zeb McKinzey-career likely over (shoulder)
Ken Shackleford-senior starting split tackle
Fernando Velasco-junior starting split guard
2004
Chester Adams-junior starting split guard
Seth Watts-sophmore backup guard
2005
Ian Smith-redshirt freshman backup center
2006
Justin Anderson-Hargrave Military, has recommitted
Chris Davis-redshirting
Josh Davis-redshirting
Ben Harden-Hargrave Military, has recommitted
John Miller-dismissed 10/06 (rules violations)
Kevin Perez-redshirting

Question:
What is a "split guard" on the Georgia line?.

It is what happens when Ben Harden lines up behind a "tight guard."

Sorry:rolleyes:

Also from the paper today...
Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford on playing behind a less-experienced line next year.

"They'll be young, that's for sure," Stafford said. "I'm going to keep working on my speed over the summer.":laugher:
