UGAY announces Greyson Lambert to start against UNC. UNC will start 1-0

Didn't they previously announce freshman Jesus would start?

If UNC can slow down the run game. I could see UGA lining up and running right at them in a power formation ala COFH 2009. If they can wear them down, I could see a scenario where UGA doesn't attempt more than 12-15 passes. I just don't know if UGA has the bodies up front to make this happen. If I were Savior Smart, that would be my game plan.

I am not overly impressed with Georgia at this point. They lost a bunch of talent in the trenches. Lambert isn't that great of a slinger. If he's getting the nod over the 5* kid, I'm not sure that it's going to be that great of a year, at least starting off. If UNC picks up where they left off, they'll score 30+ points. With Chubb likely being limited coming back from surgery, I don't know that Georgia can keep up with UNC in a track meet.

I don't know if that is a feasible scenario with Chubbs recently repaired ACL and Sony Michel being questionable with a broken arm. Both are likely going to be limited on snaps. They have to figure something out because they don't want a repeat of what happened with Gurley when he went down.

Running Back talent is never a problem at UGA. Run it enough and wear them down. The idea would be to run it enough and by the 3rd and 4th quarters even Douglass could fall forward for 4 or 5 yards a pop without having to make guys miss.

Again, I hope they can't execute this strategy, but I see that as UGA's pah to victory in this game. If they have to throw it 25+ times, it'll be very, very good news for UNC.

Well this just elevates the meltdown potential by a factor of 10. If UGA loses to UNC with QB Jesus on the bench, smart might get run out of town Kiffin style after his first game. Not that UGA is going to lose to UNC, but a man can dream.

Baylor ran the ball 84 times for 645 rushing yards against UNC in their bowl game. I think that would be my strategy against the heels.

A shitload of it was from the wildcat, too. I had to go back and watch that game to see how they did it. Baylor had no real quarterback at all, and their top RB was injured as well. What a beautiful game.

It really doesn't matter who is QB. They are gonna run it and throw a few screens.

So, I have the Dwags selected in my pickem.

I run away from this game betting wise. Both teams have YUUUUGE potential for variability...
Georgia - Lackluster QB, replacing lines, several levels of starting RBs questionable due to returning from injury, not to mention the entire coaching staff and scheme is new.
UNC - Has the potential to throw up 50 plus points, but can also give up 50 points... New QB. Defense that has issues against the run.

I wonder what the street price for tickets will be. I wouldn't mind going to the game, but I'm not willing to spend a lot.
