I Agree Law.....

in fact I was hoping it would be 3 or more points. I think most of the pressure is on us and this definitely helps us.

Agreed. We tend to play worse when we are favored(UNC) and better when we are the underdog(Va Tech) I'd say give em a 20 point favor!!

Agree with everything said here...now i'm off to the strip to place a bet or 2.

it's due to home field advantage, playing between the hedges, but I like it. If we were playing at HGF, we would be favored by at least 6.

Since home field is usually 2-3 pts, if it were a neutral site, Tech would probably be favored by 2, and at home Tech would be favored by 5 max. Of course, that is then adjusted according to the betting, not the way the experts truly think the game will go, just designed to have equal bets on both teams.

In a lot of ways the outcome of this game should be a good barometer of this team and our season. We've had a good season and are on an upswing coming into the game. UGA has had a disapponting season and but is coming into the game with some renewed confidence after their game with Auburn. I certainly hope we end up pasting them and throwing the Bulldog Nation into a tizzy. That will make for a fun winter and spring.

I hate seeing comments like this. One game does not a season make. There are 12 regular season games plus 2 post-season games. Should some misfortune happen and we lose this game yet win both the remaining games, is our season marred and worthless to you? Does that make our team less than satisfactory?

I agree this is a VERY important game and should not be taken lightly despite the fact that it will not change our post-season status, but this game is NOT our season.

No, this game does not make/break the GT season, it has already been a successful one, with opportunites that lie ahead to make it an even more successful season.

However, a loss to what would seem to be an inferior UGA team would make the Orange a bit rotton. Gotta beat the Dawgs this year ...and next (but we'll worry with that next year).

My concern is momentum. If we lose to UGA, that will effect our confidence going in to the ACCCG. I would still consider this season to be reasonably successful if we lost our final 3, but still dissapointing. If we beat UGA though, going for 10 total wins, then I'd be happy no matter what happens in the final 2, and I think we'd have a better shot at going 11 or 12 due to momentum.
