Is not good at all against the run, which is exciting. All Alabama did was run the ball, and the very first Florida TD was.....you guessed it, an option pitch off the left side. I really hope Martinez has another one of his crap days, he has been really crappy against the run all year, let's hope it stays true Saturday!!!!!

THWG!!!!!!!!:fingersx:

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I really get the feeling that if we come out and stay healthy all game and don't have some ridiculous turnovers, this game may not be close and we might be dancing all over the upper decks by the 3rd quarter.

Agreed.

I've thought for several weeks that their undisciplined style on D will kill them on us. I have a feeling they will over-pursue, fail on their assignments (shocking for a UGA "student", I know), and we should have our way with them. Not to mention they lead the free world in penalties. They will come unglued if we work our magic early.

I'm most worried about Geno Atkins (sp?) and Rennie Curran. (see our BC game and UNC game). DT's gave us fits but I guess that was early on mostly and I'll throw the UNC game out because everyone played like shiit.

The rest of UGGaggg's D can kiss my arse.

I do not think the game will be a blow out but I will agree that we have a better chance of blowing them out than visa versa. Our D line is the key to the game. If we stop the run and get pressure with our front 4 against their suspect O line we have a great shot.

Look at Alabama and Florida they didn't win with the skill position players but on the line of scrimmage. UGAg's skill players were better than Alabama's in my opinion but that doesn't matter without a good O line.

If their safeties play as poorly as FSU's and Miami's, game over.

I really, really hope it goes the way the Miami game did. I don't think it will, but how awesome would that be. Maybe the stadium would even clear out enough for me to journey down from Sec 610 to the field to grab some of those hedges.

Man I hope so!!!!

Realistically I dont think a blow out win is possible even if we play great. Ugay will put points on the board. We have not played an offense anywhere near the caliber of the mutts. We could not get Uva's offense off the field. FSU moved the ball up and down the field. We could not stop UNC rushing game. Miami has Patrick Nix as OC, they dont count. I think Ugay will score atleast 28.

I know we can win this game, but I don't know if we will. This isnt Miami. I felt great before the Miami game because we were up against a young, swarming defense, and the Patrick Nix experience. Sadly, the Bulldawgs offense isn't run by Patrick Nix. Their defense isn't great, but they've had an extra week to try and learn something. I hope they don't. Our defense needs to come out and hit Morenno in the mouth from the whistle. UGA is a soft team, and if we beat them up early, they will turtle. If we can execute a game plan like UF did, then everything should be right in the world. I think we can do that.

I agree with most of the statements. I really think our front 4 will play like it means something, because well, it is their last chance and why not on probably the most suspect O-line GT has played all year. The only reason UVA's offense could stay on the field was because of their NFL O-line. The same cannot be said for UGA. Like us, they are patch work.

I don't put a whole of lot of faith into BOBO (BOZO) either. He has made plenty of stupid play calls this year for UGA. Stafford on a QB keep. That is stupid, it has failed everytime he has called it this year, Fat Matt cannot run. We all know Willie Martinez, if we start running with it then it's good.

I think it comes down to the UGA defense all in all though. Most penalized, most undiciplined. I don't know why anyone would think that we don't have a chance at a blow out. I mean the closest thing to GT that UGA has played this year is Florida with their spread offense.

GT does what Florida does on crack!

...lawyers have been busy this year.

Oh, sorry, thought this post was a "complete this sentence" thingy.

GO JACKETS!!

I'm most worried about Geno Atkins (sp?) and Rennie Curran. (see our BC game and UNC game).

Curran is an absolute beast. The human body shouldn't be able to do the things he does. If we don't do a good job putting a body on him, it's going to hurt our pitch game a lot.

..is based on a plea of insanity or mental defect

I am liking the fact that their defense if pumped up because it's a rivalry game. When a defense is really hyped against our offense, it usually leads to more over-pursuing and missed assignments. The more aggressive their defense the better. But as always, we cannot turn over the football.

I too am concerned about Atkins and Curran. If the B back play up the middle doesn't work, our offense could have a hard time.
But I still feel good about this game, because of our coaching staff, and the way our guys played in the Miami game on both sides of the ball.

We have to score enough early that the game isn't in the hands of the refs.

I hate to say this but i'm really worried about this weekend... and I think we will need to score more than 35. :(
