About 16???....thats like saying we had "about" 409 rushing yards against UGay.

Swofford is a ****ing moron who needs to be replaced asap. How does that have to happen anyway?

He was on ESPN OTL the other day debating the Texas Congressman who wants to bring the issue of a playoff up. Swofford got his ass handed to him and looked completely humiliated. For that he deserves to be fired.

You know, I'm not going to say that Swofford is the greatest ACC commissioner who's ever lived, but realize that Swofford went to bat for Georgia Tech in 2006 and "strong-armed" the Gator Bowl into giving us a slot there when nobody, and I mean NOBODY, wanted the Yellow Jackets and our disappointed fanbase to come to their town. (see links below) If it hadn't been for Swofford, we'd have been sent to Outer Siberia to play East Saint Nobody in another muddy, slush-filled Chan Bowl. So bash Swofford all you want, but the guy at least once stood up for the Jackets when nobody else would.

that is true, b/c I didn't even go back, although I thought it was b/c of a rule.

If all 16 sit in the flash card section, I wonder what they could spell. Maybe "D" for Desolate?

So u mean Swofford voted a team into a bowl that didn't deserve to be there? Sounds non playoff politics to me.

No, we did deserve to be there, they didn't want us because we wouldn't travel well. It was similar to this year, except this year they got their way and took an undeserving Clemson.

that is true, b/c I didn't even go back, although I thought it was b/c of a rule.

It was because of a rule, the "one loss rule". The Peach took 6-2 VT, and noone else was better than 5-3, so the Gator had to take GT.

Swofford merely enforced the agreed-upon rule, and ignored the Gator's claim to a "verbal agreement". Calling that "strong arming" as one of the linked stories does seems a little over the top.

I'd be willing to bet without that rule in place we'd have been sent packing. After all Swofford had no problem with 3-5 UVA getting the MCB over 5-3 GT a year earlier. That came back to bite the MCB when UVA fans didn't bother to show up, while GT would've easily brought 15-20K.

Only because he was making up for the previous Emerald Bowl Fiasco.

So Swofford has defended our team one more time than Bunger has. Amazing!

(Sorry, I couldn't resist)
