UNC will thrash VT sat

I'll believe it when I see it. It's been a long time since UNC has won a big game.
 
I hope so, but I just don't see it happening...although UNC getting a close win is very possible.

So you're considering beating a bad Rutgers team as a big game? Rutgers is last in the BE in scoring offense and 7th (thank God for Syracuse) in scoring defense. I've been watching them choke for over 20 years when they have a chance to make a statement. I think I'll still wait a bit before I take them too seriously.
 
If you consider the fact it was UNC's first win out of the the state of North Carolina since 2002, and that it was a total route over a team that was in the top of the big east for the past two years, I would say it was a big win...

Well, you're sort of supporting my post. UNC hasn't played in a big game in probably 10 years, and hasn't won one in longer. Winning your first game out of state in 8 years doesn't count as a big game, it only suggests that you may be decent again. That's why I'm not sure they can handle VT.

Kind of like their men's lax team. When they finally do beat a conference team again, you could say it's a big win. But unless it's actually FOR something, it just means they're finally competitive again.
 
Despite the season that Rutgers put together in 2006, despite the fact that Carolina hasn't had a winning season since 2001, I wouldn't consider defeating a team that had a losing record in the Big East a year ago, who has won 10 of it's last 19 games, as a big win.

Prior to this out-of-Tobacco Road win, UNC's last o-o-TR win was in 2002 in Tempe against Arizona State.

I think UNC will beat VT. VT is not very good on offense and most of their points came from our TOs. If UNC limits TOs, I think they win by a comfortable margin.

i specifically said i wasnt trying to be a smartass. that one happens to be a pet peeve of mine.

i asked once w/o reply, but what is yellow physics?
 
They have faired OK against VT the last few years, IIRC.

Should be a good game.

i was a physics major, so i do have to ask

i would guess that its just a play on "yellow jackets" but perhaps there is such a field in physics and i am curious to know

if you know, why dont you educate me?
 
I believe VT will beat UNC handily but we will see. I guess it would be good for us if VT lost early. We probably need a 3way tie to win our division now.
