No WAY did our SA's deserve to lose this game tonight. NO WAY!!

1. The Defense played one helluva a game. I would think we played better tonight than we did last Saturday night. Thank you Coach T for having our guys ready to play. You are to be commended as well as all your staff.

2. We BETTER address our special teams coach and NOW! We have been soft ALL year in that area. there is NO excuse for that poor of play at the D1 level.

3. I wonder why the decision was made to try the fg instead of going for it on 4th and 2. I was begging to go for it. Bell has been inconsistent. Our D was playing great.

4. I REALLY believe CCG needs to open the QB job up in the Spring. RB made way to many mistakes tonight that cost us dearly. 2 Int's and 1 fumble. After 30 something consecutive starts you just do NOT make the mistakes he made tonight. It just should not happen.

5. I may get blasted for this, but IMO the offense play calling was not that bad overall. I would have liked to see CJ get a lot more touches than he did. CCG made a few questionable calls, but I have seen him call worse games this year. He is putting the ball in RB's hands and I just do not see why. I do not think RB can carry us to the next level.

6. This loss hurts and BAD, but we are 7-4 and headed to a bowl. This gives us another 3 weeks of practice that is needed for the younger kids.

7. I still HATE UGAy and hope they get the S*** kicked out of them next Saturday night.

I Agree with you on ...

the play calling. The biggest issue with our O is not on the line of scrimmage, it is Reggie's inaccuracy. There were alot of dropped balls ,broken up passes and screens that failed to get significant yardage because of the delivery (location) of the pass. He is a competitor, I would move him to special temas and let someone else have a chance to spark the offense.

I agree but I don't think #4 will happen.

76 I am afraid you are right my friend. CCG needs to do something to spark our offense. Coach T is gonna get damn angry having to win 7-8 games a year and I do not blame him. I think Rb could help us in other areas. I just do not think he is a D1 qb. Just my opinion.

Damn this loss sucks!!!!!!!!!

SCREW UGAy!!!!!!!

B i gotta agree with ya partner!! RB is one hell of a competitor, there is no doubt about that what so ever. He loses his poise to quickly and winds up making mistakes that just kill us espoecially in crucial circumstances!!

I really thought our OL came out and hit UGAy in the mouth tonight I really did. there were some breakdowns, but those are goping to happen.

SCREW UGAy!!!!!!!!!!

I really have to give kudos to the defense. 14points allowed is all we can ask. I have a major league problem with our offensive and special teams. I'll bet our offense ranks in the bottom 10% in all offensive categories in the country. Our special teams is the worst I have ever seen in 33 years of watching GT football. Both those factors cost us the game (which we easily could have won) and a bid to the Gator Bowl...

The overall offensive numbers do rank 95th in the country ...out of what, 105 division I teams?

An analogy of this nature is pointless, but it would have been great to have this defense around back when Joe Hamilton and company were putting up 30+ a game.

nice guy or not...Coach Wilson needs to be replaced! He is not getting it done...my two cents!

Yup. CCG needs to make major personnel moves and DaBraine needs to retire. Not just think about it. Do it. Quickly.

They were be at least one, maybe two moves...but these things typically do not happen until after signing day. You will just have to live with delayed gratification.

My thoughts are pretty much in line with yours mover2. It seems to me that if you are going to play close to the vest as Chan likes to do you better be good on special teams because these is no margin for error. He did call a good game with the one exception of going for the field goal. Frankly, Travis is not a confident kicker right now why put the burden on him? We lost field position after that and thanks to poor punt coverage never got it back. Seldom have I seen a Tech team lay it all on the line in terms of effort like those guys did last night. The defense in particular played their hearts out but in this day and age giving a good team like Georgia too many chances eventually costs you the game. Don't get me started on Reggie He is who he is and is not going to change or get any better.

The one thing I will give Gailey. During his TV show he said, "He knew that special teams would play a significant difference in the UGA game". (Note: They did! Our ST was one of the main reasons we lost the UGAg game). I have also heard him say (multiple times during the year) that the special teams have got to get better.

Now, if he doesn't make a move to get Wilson out of there, I will puke up all of the post bowl game Christmas food I have eaten..

Mover, a great post in my opinion, comments below.
#1- I agree 100%
#2- I agree 110%. In this close a game, I felt like ST's would be the difference and was afraid everytime they came on the field.
#3- It's the coach's decision, it didn't miss that much. Going for it would not have been a bad call either.
#4- I think there will be competition, eitther from TB becoming more accurate, or Garner getting use to the offense. Personally, I am hoping Garner will come through and give RB some real competition.
#5- I agree 100%
#6- Exacttly!!
#7- I can't say that I hate UGA. If it wasn't for UGA, some of those ass holes would be at Tech!

the offensive play calling

The good part was that we constantly moved the chains bit by bit by bit.

The bad part was that we couldn't score.

Part of that is caused by not taking enough shots downfield to CJ to open up the rest of the offense. This offense isn't built to move the chains against a defense like Georgia or Miami for 10-12 play drives. The offensive output of the last two games shows that.

Why is it that we can run a deep comeback play 5-6 times to Calvin and our other WRs against Miami, but we can't run that play against Georgia?

Minter is good, but the best Wideout in all of college football should be able to get open more than twice.

Lousy player utilization.

moverII, I wholeheartedly agree with you on # 1 & 2...
As to #3, I would have preferred to go for it, however, the way the D was playing it was very likely that those 3 more points would have won the game...supposedly Bell had a good week of practice. I understand the reason why..

I believe he will, however, it will be extremely difficult for any QB with little or no D1 playing time to unseat a 3 year starter, even one as limited as RB is.

Totally agree with your last three points!
