DEFINITIONS

Official visits (paid visit): an official visit to a member institution by a prospective student athlete is a visit financed in whole or in part by the member institution. e.g., meal cards, on or off campus snacks, transportation, entertainment, housing, etc. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]1. A prospect is limited to one paid visit to Yale and no more than five paid visits to all institutions. [/FONT]

Our unofficial visits usually occur at that different times.

1. Elite Junior Day - This coincides with a basketball game and is by invitation.

2. During spring practice or the final spring game.

3. During the summer.

Some of these visits consist of tours of the facilities and the academic side of things along with meetings with certain members of the staff.

Sidewalk...we have to be saving some good $$$, as most schools are now with the early commitments. I can remember when we would pay for 40-50 kids each year to officially visit between Sept. and Dec. Now it seems we have just the committed kids plus 4 or 5 others we want to go after.

Red, that's true but we save maybe $40,000 a year. That's not a lot, but I think the savings in distraction, etc. during football season is semi-priceless.
