Update on Johnson from Navy blog (link)

Wagner says a source in Atlanta has us giving a presser at 11:00. Anyone heard this?
 
One source in Atlanta reports that Georgia Tech has scheduled a press conference for 11 a.m. to announce its new football coach.

Interesting, but seems doubtful. That's a little more than an hour from now... I would think that there would be something in the AJC or elsewhere in the Atlanta press if there was a presser at 11. Since they'd probably be invited, you know.
 
Hmmm...press conference at 11am? If so, it doesn't sound like it'll be Johnson.
 
In fact, the latest information coming from my most reliable sources in Atlanta is that Georgia Tech athletic director Dan Radakovich could not meet Johnson's salary demands. In other words, the Yellow Jackets' financially-strapped athletic department could not put together a total compensation package that was better than what Johnson currently has here at Navy.

Translated: We should've just kept Chan. We should've been happy with 7 wins. We should've been happy with our west coast bowls. We should be glad we just have a chance in the 4th quarter to beat Georgia every other year. We suck. We really do love mediocrity.
