update on johnson!!!!!

ok my boy albert rocker the redshirt freshman has provided me with some inside info tech has offered johnson 1.8 mil n smu has offered him 2.2 mil and they said they are willing to go even higher. it does not look good. i think we will have to end up with either hatcher or tenuta

Hmm. I don't think athletes are kept in the loop enough to know these details as facts. I don't say that to single out you, gatechkid21, or Albert as inaccurate, but in my experience information like this gets down to the athletes more as hearsay than hard, absolute facts.

The less of the truth that we get, the further we have to go to extrapolate that into something complete.
 
Ya but have we already burned the bridge with CH? This is what scares me more than anything.

Just guessing, but if we're the only D-1A program going after him (and I think we are, right? Or was Southern Miss involved?), then he'd probably have more patience with us than a more established "name" coach.
 
I'm around a ton of football players with my job and they know just as much (or little) as we do on here. Hell all the players read these message boards; he's probably quoting something he already read on here.

Yeah, but if you think about it, it's not really a surprise. I mean, their interest in who the next head coach will be might even be more intense than ours!

Damn that sucks. I would hate to save the AA $1 million a year and get a young, energetic, coach that has done nothing but win. Yeah, that would suck to go with Hatcher.
