Are we recruiting him? Is he a top prospect?

I don't follow recruiting closely, but a friend asked about this guy, so I thought I see if y'all know anything.

Thanks!

Adam is a solid football player, but a tad on the small side...under 6' and around 185 lbs or so, if memory serves. Pretty fast though, 4.5 ish. I would not be suprised if Tech has contancted him, as we will contact virtually all descent prospects in the state. But at the present, he has not received an offer from Tech. I believe that he may have one from Troy or UAB...one of those Bama schools. If we can not fill our available scholarships, I am sure that he can be a preferred walk-on if he wanted. May be better off taking a Troy scholly though.

I have seen Urbano play...he is not just fast...he is lightning quick and possesses tremendous field vision. He has been clocked as low as 4.4...although clocked as high as a legit 4.56 at a combine. More importantly, his football speed is faster than most...he plays the game as fast as he runs a forty. This is evident in his combine best shuttle time of 4.03 (that is an amazing time!). He also has a 33" inch vertical.

He measured at a spring combine in at 5-8, 187. By comparision, Jamaal Evans is 5-8, 196....but is two years older.

He could end up at UAB, Furman, Troy....the coaches at Calhoun like to funnel players to Furman because the head coaches brother is the head coach at Furman. They also have ties to the Vandy staff...would not be shocked to see him there.

There are also a couple of other reasons I will not get into on a public forum as to why a tailback like Adam Urbano may not get a big-time D1 offer.

Man Hiveredtech and MustangGT you two combined are recruiting info Gold! Who needs rivals?
