Pebble Beach. Who ya got? Picking Fleetwood, but seeing this clip from Brooks, think he's going to crush the field again.

Love it. He's not the easiest guy to root for because he shows zero emotion but that's good stuff. Tiger-esque, even.

I like Tiger at Pebble but he let me down at Bethpage. Pebble suits him better though if he can hit irons of tees.

Schauffele is gonna break through sooner or later. Justin Thomas would be my other pick.

Spieth's game is starting to come back. Wouldn't be surprised if he's in the mix.

It won't surprise me if Tiger barely makes the cut or doesn't make it. I'm gonna throw out two surprise contenders: Xander Schauffle and Patrick Cantlay

My darkhorse is Marc Leishman just because I think he'd be cool to play a round with. Much beer would be consumed. Could say the same for Gmac as well.

I'm curious how they'll manipulate pebble to keep typical US Open scoring. I don't think the course suits Brooks Koepka. I could see Tiger scoring well. I could see Furyk, Stenson, Kuchar type players doing well.

Just doesn’t feel right having another major so soon. Guess we’ll get used to it.

? This hasn't changed. The only thing that changed this year was the PGA was moved up to be prior to the Masters. The US Open was June 14 - 17 last year.

Scores were ridiculous for a US Open yesterday because the greens held the water. It'll be interesting to see if they sat out overnight with a bunch of heat lamps to dry out the greens and bring the scores back closer to par. :)

Right. Masters / PGA / US Open / Brit Open now all just separated by a month each.

US Open is always Fathers Day weekend. It was strange having the PGA in between the Masters and Open but it was kinda cool. I guess it can't be called "glory's last shot" anymore.

The FedEx cup playoffs were getting hammered in the ratings by the NFL. By moving the playoffs to August, the PGA Tour hopes to have more TV sets tuned to golf.

Yeah, but that in essence shortens the season, since there's less interest in the fall events.

True, but some would claim the season was too long.
The Fall season will get some new events:
    https://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/schedule.2020.html
Houston and Greenbrier move to the fall, and Mississippi becomes a full event.

(btw, some guys named Kuchar and Hadley have started their 2nd round under par)
