...and despite what some on this board would have us think...we are not even close to one of them!!
Pre-season #18 Michigan State at 4-8 and unranked
Pre-season #8 Nebraska at 7-6 and unranked
Pre-season #5 Tennessee at 8-4 and unranked (they also mentioned that they were a natl champ fav by many)
I was speaking to a Big 12 guy last night as I am in Dallas on business. He said to me..."I know you guys played bad last week against your rival...but good grief (actually an expletive here)...to everyone else looking in you lost one of the top QB's in the country with Godsey, your top TB in Joe Burns, and your #1 WR 'what was his name' (I reminded him of Campbell)...plus you changed your coaching staff...and still ended up 7-5 plus a bowl game just as you did last year....to an outsider looking in your appear well positioned."
