..than they were against their previous opponents so far this year. Here's why:

They've been trying to stick with junior and senior QB talent so far, and have been sucking it up. They put in some hotshit RS-Freshman towards the end of the game this past weekend, and he went for 70% completions. They're going to start him against us.

I think we'll do well against UVA, but I'm not entirely sure they'll be as big a pushovers as they were the past few weeks.

In case memories are short:

Tech's defence will be a rude awakening compared to Western Michigan's. We may not blow them away as easily, but the score will still be lopsided.

I'll Relax When This Game Is Tagged & Bagged

I'll go against a r/s freshman with CJT's defense any day.

I really hate going against coaches on the hot seat.

QFT. And we're going to see a lot of that this year.

7-10 for 50 yards. He was also sacked 3 times for -25 yards. The other QB's he was pulled for completed 77% of their passes.

Good lord! You're kidding!

What the heck is UVA doing wrong? Turnovers?

I haven't seen them play, but they have 5 INTS after 3 games, they are ranked #117 in the country in rushing yards per game, and they average 2.2 yards per rushing attempt.

Thing is, I'm pretty sure that FSU could be 118 or 119 in the rushing yards per game stat.

Man, if Tech were to win the ACC, this would definitely be the year. All but 4 teams in this conference just look plain AWFUL.

kudos to UVa for putting a redshirt freshman against our D. Our Defence always does well when going up against qb's that do not have lots of experience. Another good thing is that UVA rushing is horrible so our D will probobly get UVA's qb to throw alot, good

This game is almost the exact situation we were in a year ago. One loss, but still with high hopes. Thursday Night home game against an opponent that just lost to a team they should not have, and that team's fans talking bad about themselves.

If we beat Virginia, we have cleared the letdown huddle in my mind. Big time. God I am so pumped.

GO JACKETS, BABY!

we are actually in a 2game test. We need to beat UVA and play well against VT.

Agreed, law_bee. I just meant that the Virginia game is a big part of how well we play against Virginia Tech. A loss to Virginia and alot of possibilities for the season MAY go out the window. If we win, we will have ALOT to play for in Blacksburgh.

I think UVa may have been looking ahead to us against WMU and will do better under the TV lights on Thursday.

However, we should handle them so I am not worried, I am just concerned.:eek5:

There's a lot differences between NC State at this point last year and UVA right now. First and foremost, NC State had three first round draft picks on their DL. Combined with the youthfulness of our OL last year, NCS's DL chased down Reggie like the LAPD and OJ.

Also, I would bet North Carolina last year was a better team than Western Michigan last year. Not to mention how NC State IIRC had a Senior in at QB, while UVA while play a RS Freshman.

I could go on of course, but I agree this game will be an absolute test for our team. This is the most telent, eperience, depth and maturity we've seen this 2001 and Georgia Tech needs to demostrate that Thusday night.

Seriously, I just hope CG knows he had two patsies the last 2 weeks.
My sad prediction is that we come out very slow. Hope I am wrong.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner! FSU is indeed ranked #118 in rushing offense. They are averaging 1.6 yards per carry.

However, UVa's ineptitude is still more impressive because they have played a crap schedule compared to FSU.

Which 4?

Tech, Clemson, BC, VT I'm guessing.

Although I'd have to say that FSU and Miami don't look bad.

I was probably too harsh on FSU and Miami by calling them awful, especially FSU.

But if you told me before the UM-UL game that both Brohm and Bush would be out, I would have given Miami's Defense the benefit of the doubt. I don't know if Louisville is just that good, but I was very surprised at how well they moved the ball without their superstars.
