UVA tries to emulate GT offense

Looks like Al Groh is trying to use a smaller QB, supposedly a triple option type QB, to get his defense ready. Only problem: the QB is 190 lbs, Nesbitt is 225. Also, I would think Groh would try to stick to the gameplan, although it is flattering that he has to teach his defense a new technique just for GT!:biggthumpup:

When Groh arrived at UVA, he made some sort of comment, albeit jokingly (at least from what I understand), about him playing chess while the rest of the ACC plays checkers. I believe that's what he was alluding to.

Ok, sorry, the reason I misunderstood is that I have read on more than one occasion that many feel that CPJ plays chess while other coaches are playing checkers. It is supposed to be a tribute to his playcalling and in-game adjustments.

If you're going to get Al Groh a game, get him a see and spell that teaches him how to write a game plan, preferably in pink and purple for all those gay cowboys.
