UVA vs. Miami @ NOON Sat

If UM could take UVA out ...could give us more motivation in our 3:30 war. Then again if UVA wins could make us play even better.

I can't believe I'd ever root for the 'Canes - But then again, I was rooting for the Semi-holes last weekend. Crazy year in the ACC...

Guess my only remaining absolutes are that I'll never root for Ugag (in any sport against any opponent) or the Dookies in hoops (or the Cowboys or the Patriots or the Yankees)

I agree with everything here except ugag. I really want them to win this weekend!
 
The reason is because I made a bet with a girl who is a Florida grad. We weren't dating at the time, but now that we are she won't let me go back on it. We're going to watch the game at the local ugag fan club,(I think), and she's going to wear UF gear and I'll be rockin GT gear.

GT Fan Rule #622: Do NOT place a wager which pays off in the event of a victory by Ugag. This sets up an unresolvable conflict of interest which must be avoided at all costs. In the event a Ugag defeat is unlikely, take the amount you anticipated wagering and instead donate it to a worthy charity.
 
How much was the bet for? If I made a bet like that let say for $50. I would rather UGA lose and loss $50, than UGA win and win $50.

I have a HARD time hating Georgia. I've lived in NC most of my life so my main hatred is for UNC. It means much more to me if we beat them. A lot of you actually went to Tech or grew up around a lot Georgia fans and that rivalry means a great deal to you. I wish I understood......

The game is tomorrow and she still hasn't made up her mind. I've been pushing for weeks to get it out of her.

You have a hard time hating them now, but Saturday you'll be in a bar full of them, and they will be barking like tools and making fun of the pathetic Tech game (whether we win or lose) and, well, being themselves on a drunk football saturday afternoon. So, I for one would really appreciate it if you would post again after this experience and let us know if you still have a hard time hating Georgia.

Will do. Like I said originally, I think we're still on for the Georgia fan club. I came up with the idea to make it interesting. I figured with her wearing UF and me wearing GT, they'll hate us equally!

I just hope you make it out of there without getting in a fight. And perhaps more importantly, I hope they are willing to put at least one television on the Tech game for you. Seriously, you better have a backup plan and leave yourselves plenty of time to change viewing locations before kickoff if necessary. Good luck with it all and I'll be interested to hear the report after the game.
