UVa\'s tearing up the recruiting trail, again
Virginia now has 12 verbal commitments for the Feb signing class. They are getting their class done early again & may be finished by Sept, just like the Cavaliers did last yr. The recruits are ranked real high, but they do come from the mid-Atlantic region. Virtually every Cav recruit is from Va, NJ, Pa or NC. No knock on these guys, but they just don't play, nor face, the kind of competition found in Ga, Fla, Ala, La or Tex.
I'm glad that Groh is happy in the mid Atlantic & GT doesn't have to cross paths with them, or VT for that matter. Let's face it, you just don't see FSU or Miami or any of the deep south schools looking at Va players. So I'm glad Groh is recruiting so well, but the recruits just make me yawn, compared to what Fla St, Miami, UGa, Notre Dame, Aub & even Clemson, gets.
