I have a few days off leading up to the Vandy game and wanted an opinion on acquiring tickets. Should I go ahead and buy tickets through Tech or on stub hub or would it be in my best interests to just go to the game and try to find a scalper trying to dump tickets close to game time?

Also, where is a good place to stay in Nashville? and some things worth doing?...I am considering bringing the girlfriend and need to keep her entertained.

I am going ticketless also. Got a room at the Vanderbilt/Downtown Loews last week on Priceline for 90/night by bidding. I should have started the bidding lower b/c that was my first one and they took it.

Vandy tickets are easy to scalp and very cheap you'll be fine trust me.
As for where to stay there are numerous hotels around the stadium due to its location in Nashville.

If you buy your tickets through GTAA you will get to sit with Tech fans. It's a crap shoot otherwise. But tickets will be available at the ticket window. Vandy sucks this year and the fans here aren't into them at all.

Stay anywhere on West End. You can walk to the stadium from the Hampton Inn or Marriott.

Agreed. I was in Nashville this past weekend and I'm going to the game in a few weeks. It's a very walk-able city and anywhere on West End is a great place to stay.

As for stuff to do later on, it's Nashville! The area on Broadway by the river is where everything goes on at night. Live music just about everywhere. Great city.
