Obviously I missed something. Didnt we have a home and home with Vandy? What happened to the second game? I was looking forward to the trip to Nashville.

New SEC rule. Only teams in the SEC are eligible to win the SEC East. Because we won the SEC East last year and because with Vandy we would play (and, beat) three SEC East teams in 2017, the only logical thing to do was cancel our series with Vandy since a 2-0 record against the SEC East is not enough wins (one short) to qualify for the divisional Championship.

Long answer to a short question.

The second game was in Atlanta. The first game was at Vandy in 2009.

Last year's game was Vandy's return trip for the 2009 game we played in Nashville.

I think we had played them in Nashville a few years before.

Last year's was the second in the series, the first being in 2009.

We played them in Nashville a few years ago. JFN was QB so it was probably around 2009

Weird that there's so much confusion and debate over this, we played the first of a home/home in Nashville in 2009 and the second game didn't come until last season.

I hear what you guys are saying, but honestly, it would only make sense that we aren't playing Vandy this year if we had played them at their place sometime before last year. I don't remember playing at Nashville in the last seven years, though.

I don't remember it either. Maybe we owe them (and our fans) another trip since they were so far apart?

We played them in 2009, but we were wearing a different shade of gold then -hence the confusion.

He was running right at me on that play. We decided to sit in the endzone, since I like endzone seats the best. He was watching himself on the tiny little big screen as he was running towards us.

We have played them four times since the early 2000's. Two in Atlanta and two in Nashville

Tech is undefeated in the last 13 games against Vandy. You'd think they would stop scheduling us.
