I had just turned 14 and was coming off a record day of selling programs the GT Yellow Jackets when Florida State came to the Flats that September day. It may have been coca colas but I remember having a big pocket full of cash going home. After the game Rock Perdoni walked past me and my buddy. How massive he looked. Sadly, today, my mass equals his.

I was 16 years old. Jack Williams was my counselor at Roger Kaiser Sports Camp I remember.Many moons ago

I was a rat at that game,,, IIRC, Gary Huff was tackled in the end zone for a safety, by Perdoni & Gebhart. Possibly injured his knee?
Anyone remember this? Or am I making it up?

Perdoni's last year was 1970 and we did play them that year with Huff as their qb. However, #60 in the picture looks like Bruce Elliott who started playing for the varsity in 1971. I think this is '71.

Ol' Jack Williams. His family moved about 5-6 houses down the street from where Al Ciraldo bought a house in Dekalb Co. in the late 60's (?). Jack had a very cute little sister. :-)

I remember the 69 game when Jack sneaked in from the one. The AJC had a big picture titled “Joy Returns To Techville”
I was at the 70 game in Athens and remember that beautiful TD pass Jack threw to Wysong and the major screw up UGA had on a trick play deep in their territory that sealed the deal. I was a true college football junkie in my early teens. I loved the game much better back then.

The next year Fulcher's OC was Steve Sloan..... Sloan had been the OC at FSU in 1971 & said due to a ton of injuries they started 5 guys on their OL that were straight off the scout squad.

Gebhart & Elliott, not to mention Daffer, Bourne, Joe Gaston, et al, made 'em pay.
