Scouts reports Robert Golden, who has made a verbal commitment to Arizona and Uona Kveinga, who has made a verbal to UCLA will be on campus next weekend. What are the odds we can get these young men to back off of their commitments ... have we successfully done this in the past?

With Brandon Leslie joining them for the weekend, I wonder what the chemistry would be like with two guys in the entourage who ostensibly have no interest in Tech.

I think you are compiling old information...despite what Scout shows in the profiles.
Despite what you may read from old interviews...or on the AJC regarding Stuckey...GT only has committable offers out to three LB's...Arthur Brown, Etienne Sabino, and Malcolm Munroe. No others will be offered as we already have 3 committed at LB and we are done.

Golden is coming this weekend...however the coaches have pushed Leslie to the 29th against Clemson as we are not quite ready to accept his offer. It is likely we will only take one between Carlton Lewis, Karnell Hatcher, and Brandon Leslie. That could change depending on who commits when.

We are done at CB except for Robert Golden. He does not have a commitable offer yet as his transcripts have to be reviewed. If they pass...he will certainly get an offer.
 
I was under the impression that Golden is coming for the Clemson game.

However, I believe that Uzzi is supposed to be at the BC game this weekend.

zero on Golden...someone just emailed me and told me his grades did not clear.

We will get Leslie on the 29th if Hatcher or Lewis do not commit before then. There is a chance we could take him anyway as a more generic "DB" prospect even if we do get Lewis first.

Uzzi is down to us and UGA essentially. I think we get him in the end...but UGA is definitely in there.

That's too bad to hear; I was hoping he could join the '08 class.

But great to hear how we stand with the other two! Thanks Hivered!:biggthumpup:
 
I heard the news on Golden this afternoon. I was disappointed to say the least. I wondered about this last night, when his MySpace page said that he was firm to Arizona and that he would sign today if he could. Oh well...
