Well men! This is going to be a big weekend for us with recruiting....I am excited about the people that are lined up to vist:
1. Jaybo Shaw
2. Steven Sylvester
3. Kamaron Riley
4. Nick McRae
5. Cooper Taylor
6. B.J. Machen
7. Jon Lockhart
8. Embry Peeples
9. J.T. Floyd
10. Pete Rose
11. Joe Jones

Anyone confirm or able to add any names to this listing? Would hope that we can land a good many of these guys....Anyone know of some others that we are after? Thanks in advance for your imput....GO JACKETS...I hope they enjoy the FLATS...Would be interesting to see what CPJ has up his sleeve for the first group of visitors as the HC of GT....:biggthumpup:

Wouldn't it be great if we could land Uzzi, Branes, & Thompson!! I hope we make a late run on some of the guys on our prospect list...We have the scholarships available....However, I am just as interested to see what CPJ can do to transform what we've already got on the roster...

Sounds like he didn't want to leave home and his friends. He knew he'd get a shot at QB over here.

Any news on the visitors this weekend. Any surprises or new QB prospects?
 
Not really its 8 commits and 2 prospects.

Tevin Washington and Matt Roark are two QB's were still after. I believe there is two more as well we are atleast talking to, cant recall the names right now though.
 
One more thing, I posted last week about maybe Willie White moving back to offense, it sounds like he will be staying at FS to go up against Burnett for the starting spot. DJ Donley will start the spring in the SS slot, could change but as of now hes going to start out on D and see how that goes.

As always, thanks for the insights. Are we looking at Roark as a QB or WR?

I think we will still label him as an athlete but we will first look at him at QB, if that doesn't work out then move him to WR.
 
Phil Smith is a TE/DE we are targeting as a OL. They think he can mold into a good lineman, since he is athletic. We are starting to go towards the athletic mobile lineman. CJ Brown from North Carolina is another. We have a few more targeted, I cant recall the names now though. A few of the lineman we were previously looking at with the old staff are not options anymore.

One of the others is Evan Esptein and Rhonne Sanderson.

Regarding Barrick and Sellers...I am hearing Sellers to OL and Barrick to DE. Is that what you have heard?

Yep thats the 2 I was thinking about.

I havent heard anything about Barrick and Sellers but I havent asked either. I will find out.

Roark can't play in this offense IMO. He's like 6'6" and still growing into his body. He'd make a good WR in any offense though I think.
