Apparently people don't care about Big Boi...

Man, I thought this FOR SURE was going to sell out. If it hasn't happened by today it's not going to happen.

I guess we can only count on the following games being sold out:
1. National powers in the top 5, eg. ND last year.
2. SEC teams
3. Clemson

Have we ever sold out a Thursday Night game?

Most people just can't fight the traffic or get Friday off to travel in for it.

Not enough Thursday night games to conclude this.

You need 30+ games for any kind of statistical relevancy.

GT has played 16-17 Thursday games since 1991 --if none of those previous games have sold out (and I don't know if they have or have not) then there is relevancy. 30+ games for relevancy? No.

Well that's because they never schedule great teams on thursday night.

The Thursday night game count is actually at 20 since 1991 (not certain if they have all been ESPN games). In that time GT has faced seven different conference foes (during most of this time it was a nine-team conference) --facing Maryland 5 times and UVA 4 times during the span. Tech also faced BYU in Provo and had a home-and-home against Arizona in the mid-90's that saw GT lose two very exciting games.

Not sure what you mean by great teams. Would you have preferred the Auburn and ND home-and-homes as Thursday night games. Would you have felt better if the FSU blowouts would have all been on Thursday night?

Playing most of your conference foes on a Thursday night --particularly at BDS-- is great for the program. I prefer good games -which many have been-- over so-called 'great' opponents.

1994 - UA beat us 19-14 at home on ESPN. They were a top ten team at the time.
1995 - UA beat us in Tucson 20-19 on the Prime Network. They were ranked then, too.

Facts courtesty 2007 Media Guide.

(You probably forgot those as the first was in the final year of the B__ L____ era.)

GO JACKETS!!
