I'm just completely guessing without even looking at the schedule, but my guess is maybe there is a west coast game starting around 10ish that they may want to show.

I don't see the evil empire accommodating their schedule to specific teams.

Usually it's the teams that have to accommodate their schedule for ESPN.

This is a pretty nice gametime. 1st quarter+ will be in the sun, the rest of the game will be in the dusk/dark when BDS gets incredibly amped up. Also gives everyone plenty of time for all the homecoming get-togethers.

Start times have ZERO to do with homecoming and everything to do with what television wants.

Next Saturday is weird. ABC's usual night game is at noon because of Texas-Oklahoma, so they sort of patch together a bunch of games on ESPN and ESPN2. They have Mizzou-Oklahoma State kicking off at 9:15 on ESPN2 as well, but I suspect the kick for that will actually be closer to 9:30 depending on how our game goes.
