I feel as bad as the next person about the VPI incident. However, why does this have to translate into red carpet pageantry every time the football team takes the field?
I heard they are going to have the wreck bring out their team as well.Well, we have to do something. I do think the players running down the hill is a little much. LSU played vpi's alma mater, which I thought was pushing it. I would think their players are getting fed up with it and just want to be a football team again, instead of a sob story.
This is the advantage these teams are getting out of stroking vpi.
By the time they come to Bobby Dodd, we need to have a simple gesture and then just play football. Oh, and have a giant rap star play at halftime. Yes, that should do it.
In VTs defense it was probably a gesture by Clemson (and a nice one, at that). If anyone is looking for good publicity by this move, it's Clemson not VT.At this point it's gone past honoring the dead. Now it's exploiting the dead for a tactical and media advantage. I hope they lose out. Truly disgusting.

That's a joke, right?
I've been to the last 3 GT / Clemson games at DV and I'll continue to go as long as it's possible.Yes, he heard it in a post earlier in this thread.
I'll be going to Clemson and rooting for them...should be fun, Death Valley at night looked really fun last year...for the Clemson people. I didn't have too much fun in the GT section.
Actually I didn't read that post, but it is the same thought.Yes, he heard it in a post earlier in this thread.
