We're still a couple of hours from kickoff, but I'll start the game thread for this one.

If Duke wins, we're going to Tampa.

In here. If it's not already over after the first quarter or so, we're going to head to Taco Mac so I can actually see it.

Unfortunately, I don't have too much faith.

Duke lost their best rusher at the beginning of the season and they also lost their 2nd string rusher against Clemson last week. On top of that Thaddeus Lewis (Duke's QB) who is actually pretty decent, got injured last week but not sure what his status is for this game.

Well hell, we needed a miracule before Thursday and now we're down to one only game...so why not?

I can't believe that I'm rooting for Duke. Until 9 PM tonight, David Cutcliffe is my best friend.

Let's see.......Duke won at Vandy, who won at Ole Miss, who won at Florida. If Duke is that much better than Florida, they should have no trouble at home vs. V Tech, right?

Duke fans do make it hard to pull for their team. From their Scout board:

Looks like the GT fans want another chance to lay an egg in the ACC championship game.

Must sting to only ever be relevant for the purposes of another team and never your own.

I HATE having to rely on other teams to lose, but if we would've taken care of business we wouldn't be in this situation. As for the Duke board, they're just pissed because we spanked them like orphans!

If Miami wins next week, we still win the three way tie no matter the outcome of VT vs Duke or VT vs UVA. So, we have more ways than one to go to Tampa.

How so? VT lost to Miami, who lost to us. That then makes margin of victory in those two games the determining factor. We hold the greatest margin of victory.

Margin of victory has nothing to do with it.

The next tie-breaker is coastal record, which we lose to both teams.

Miami's out of the race.

1) If VT wins out, they win the tiebreakers over us and Miami due to the in-division record, regardless of what the Canes do next week.
2) If VT loses, the best Miami can do is tie us at 5-3. Since we'd be the only two 5-3 teams, we win that tiebreaker.
