one of two things happened IMO
1. those big money idiots shoved a guy down our throats w/o checking w/ him first OR
2. PJ said all the right things in order to get more money from SMU (smu talk has been going on for a month so he knew about it)
The ONLY reason I felt PJ MIGHT be superior was I thought he was committed to the state and jonesing to be GT's coach
If you have CONVINCE someone to be the head coach at GT that guy is not going to be here very long.
We should look at the candidate WHO WANTS the job the most. If that is WM, CH, or JT so be it.
Many of us foresaw this happening and factored in our support for CG. If we come away with a worse coach than CG I think the big $$$ will be partly to blame, IMO.
