Watching the UVA/VT Game in Athens?

So the UVA/VT game next Saturday will either be at noon (same as the U[sic]GA game) or at 3:30. If it's at noon obviously I won't be watching it, but if it's at 3:30 I would LOOOOOVE to leave the stadium after a victory over Georgie and watch UVA win.

Does anyone know any places in Athens that would work for watching that game? I know this is probably impossible to do but there's no way to make it back to Atlanta in time for the game if it's at 3:30...
 
All the bars should be open cuz of the gameday crowds. If not, there are other eating places downtown like Mellow Mushroom that will be showing games. Or you could go to the eastside and watch it at somewhere like Beef O'Brady's. Just a few suggestions...
 
I'm thinking along the lines of...what would be the least anti-Tech place? Unfortunately there's nothing anywhere near Athens that's closer than Atlanta, so it looks like staying in Athens will be required. So where in the belly of the beast is the best bet?
 
Let's all get a agree on a place and just overtake it...hopefully the mutts will go home and cry for a while after the game anyway...
 
Well....honestly, anywhere you go in Athens is gonna be littered with them. But after a game, I would have to say downtown will be the worst. Going out of the main area would be the best thing I think so maybe just a normal restaurant like Applebees or something a little bit away from campus would be best. Either a place like Applebees or Beef O'Brady's would be what I would suggest then...
 
I would say Beef O Brady's on the eastside off Barnett Shoals Road. I live right next to it and that side of town should be a little more Tech friendly on game day. Of course, that's all relative. Don't bother going downtown if you don't wanna get barked at every five seconds.
 
If we can pull of the win (please God!), then it won't really matter. Most of them won't be in a mood to go out and bark and for the ones that are, it'll be that much more sweet.

If we lose, get outta dodge.
 
Who cares if they bark at you. Win or lose, I don't back down from any of those a$$holes.
 
Well so much for that. I guess we'll have to rely on those mutts putting the score up every now and then for us to watch UVA win!

I can honestly say I won't be too concerned with that. I'll be preoccupied with something else.

Of course. But during timeouts or something it'll be nice to look up and see ourselves with a higher number on the scoreboard and then to see UVA with a higher number as well.
