on the final series when he escaped the grasp for a loss & pulled 4 tacklers down the sideline for a 1st down. Didn't give up on Bilbo's 4th down scramble & caught it inbounds for a 1st that kept the TD drive alive. He really smelled the EZ & drove for his TD catch. Watkins was clutch on all 8 of his receptions. Really nice game for a reciever. Glover & Smith also had real good games.

All of the receivers were outstanding. Watkins, Glover, Smith, and Bridges all made significant catches that converted 3rd downs.
Watkins was a highly recruited receiver and an example of what that type of athlete can do for your program for 4 yrs.His name will not only show up in the alltime stat book but the clutch efforts will be remembered as well.A warrior who can walk the talk.
Kerry Watkins is now 3rd with career catches totaling 125 for 2,056 yds. He trails Campbell & Middleton in both categories & may get close to Middleton by season's end. Kerry also has 19 TD receptions which is 2nd, all-time, to Campbell & may well break Campbell's TD catches record.
