Tomorrow will be my first GT home game in a good bit and will be taking the wife and kids.

Was planning on getting to ATL a few hours early and only really planned on hitting the bookstore and eating in the area before the game.

Where is the best place to park in the area? And are there any pre-game events the kids might enjoy? Thanks in advance.

If you want to hit the bookstore, the Centergy lot (assume that is still its name) near Spring and 5th is a great spot. Close to the bookstore and even closer to @Akinji07's tailgate if he is having it.

Then, on toward the stadium and any pregame activities you want to go to.

Centergy also is an excellent place to park if you are headed north after the game. The 75/85 side of the deck exit heads north and dumps you right on the connector NB

Only if you are going up I-75. Have to go up W. Peachtree to get on the 85 access road.

I don't know if children should be allowed near an ST tailgate, and especially no mothers. Thanks for the heads up

You can pre-buy parking through ParkMobile, although the available parking seemed weirdly limited when I bought earlier this week. (Lots of lots listed as sold out, which I find very hard to believe.

Looks like the bookstore is open 10-7 on Saturday. Maybe they’re back to normal hours - they were closing super early for a while.

You can really get any direction fairly easily from Centergy. I go 20 east out of town and from Centergy you just exit and go to Spring, take the first left on Biltmore (6th), cross 3 intersections and turn right on Juniper - 4/5 lane one way all the way down to the Capitol where you can get back on I20 (Juniper changes name to Courtland when you cross N Ave but same street). It's extremely easy to get there leaving games now. I used to try to go 75/85 south to I20 and that took forever.

I see the same thing on Parkmobile for basketball games. I think they don't actually control the lots anymore? Not sure.

Dunno. They’re all (or mostly all) GT lots. I just assumed Tech was partnering with ParkMobile to sell the parking inventory, but I don’t really know how that works.

I parked in the family housing deck on 10th for almost every game last year, and it’s “sold out” for WCU. I figure they’re either just not opening that lot for this game, or just didn’t put that inventory on ParkMobile for some reason.

If you there early enough there may be free on-street parking north of 5th street.

Yellow jacket alley returns this week. Two hours before the game the team gets off the busses on 4th street on the north end of Peters Park)ing deck.) They walk down whatever the road is from there to the stadium. Band, cheerleaders, etc. kids will love it.
