moving the ugag game to the 1st game of the year. NO WAY that happens now, PJ will not let it happen. Ugag would have all off-season to prepare for our offense (An offense they will not face all year). It will be very difficult to prepare for in only one week or two max. they will have.

We have that game now, right where we want it. The last game of the year. Plays out very well for us now. When we start winning that game (I think it is sooner rather than later) you will hear the ugag fans screaming for a change.

That is one think Wake has had as an advantage every year (All the ACC teams never play an offense like Grobe's, during the regular season and one week does not give you enough time to prepare for it)
Imagine with our talent running PJ's sophisticated offense, unstoppable as Belichick says, for the other college opponents. :D

You couldn't move the game so quickly anyway. If such a move were agreed upon, it would take several years to implement. PJ's hiring itself would have no bearing on it. I don't think they're going to move it anyway...I think it was just a bunch of conjecture by guys on a message board.

Not to mention, unless we decide to end our season with another non-conference game (which is of course possible, but who the heck will we play then), tweaking the ACC master schedule so that our season (conference-wise) ends on that Saturday after Thanksgiving rather than the Saturday before would be part of implementation of that plan as well.

But, I guarantee you now, with PJ as coach, it will never happen. It sits pretty where it is now, the last game of the year. This shifts the dynamics in our favor IMHO...They will not be well prepared to match up against our offense.

Of course, in Bowl games now, giving our opponent a whole 5 to 6 weeks to prepare probably is not a good thing.

Didn't help us too much with West Virginia. :)

Next year, ugay has an off week before playing us. That will probably help them some.

I agree. It is blasphemy. It's a huge rivalry on rivalry weekend.
Agreed a million fold. I hate the very idea of moving the game and I don't see what people find so attractive about moving it to the first week of the year or any other week for that matter.
