1. First off, it's gonna be a long, ugly season for Tennessee, they suck.

2. Unbelievable performance by TQ. We are fine at QB.

3. Dedrick who? Props to K-Benson, great game.

4. Another year, another underwhelming D...

well we haven't had this piss poor kicking in a while. Makes up for great play for Marshall. I guess whatever it takes to lose - we will find a way.

Marshall and Benson were awesome. If they stay healthy and bring that to the field every week, this will be a fun season.

How do other teams manage to get good kickers? We even give scholarships and it doesn't help

My point is other teams don't even offer scholarships and they end up with passable kickers

2/3 kickers we've given scholarships have been duds (Moore, King). And we haven't gotten good nonscholarship kickers since like Scott Blair

Is King really a dud, or is he injured?? I'm still waiting to hear the real answer.

???

We just had an outstanding kicker who is now in the NFL.
Yes - but let's not forget it took Harrison a while to get where he was going. Remember all the short misses early in his career?

Lots of teams have terrible kickers. I've followed Clemson for 15 years and they have had significantly worse luck with kickers than we've had. Lots of super highly rated guys who were complete busts. But then a few years ago Chandler Catanzaro walked on to the team, beat out scholarship guys, and now he's starting in the NFL.

I'd say we've had above average kickers more often than not. Which makes last night stand out even more. Regardless, I don't think it's something that will keep happening. Either Davis will figure it out, or he'll get beat out, or somebody will walk on that can do better. Last night was 100% mental - kicking a 36 yard field goal is physically not that difficult to do.
