We have us a coach !! After hearing

P.J. @ halftime (He snapped back at the Tv reporter when told how great our defense was doing, he also set our radio guy straight too, when he basically was praising our defense to P.J.) I am 110% sure we have a coach that will win championships here and I mean some national championships.

To the amateur eye after the 1st half you would look at the scoreboard and think our defense was dominant, but P.J. made my day by telling everyone they were wrong, Miss. State moved the ball up and down the field on us, and we were lucky they turned it over to us. P.J. challenged our defense @ halftime to not give up all the yardage between the 20's. This just confimed what I was thinking after the half, the score looked good, but I didn't like the way our defense played. To be a dominant Defense you have to hold the offense to 3 and outs.

P.J. said after the game that you are not dominant on defense, if you give up 400+ yards. When we 1st hired P.J. I will admit, I was worried about the emphasis on defense, because I knew he would be great for offense, BUT, today, he proved to me that he will be committed to putting emphasis on defense and at Navy they were poor on defense only because they didn't have the players...I feel we have a coach that will be VERY successful here...

MSU has a really good defense and held Auburn to 3 points. We totally dominated them with our 2nd string QB. It was not even close.

And what do you think those 80 recruits thought of the blowout? Exactly what we did. This guy can win Tech another NCAA championship.

It's funny, I was thinking those exact same words during the game: "We have ourselves a coach....I hope that we can keep him satisfied". After watching him work during the winter, spring and fall, I am convinced that PJ can coach any system in any conference. I don't want to disparage CG but there seems to be a night and day difference bewteen the two in the way the teams are prepared and ready to play. I too am convinced that we can be in the hunt for a National title within five or six years. ( I guess that its pointless to think about the fact that we could've gotten PJ at the time that Brainless hired CG, but still...)

We are MUCH closer than 5 or 6 years from being in the national title hunt, because of the good recruiting Chan did do while here. Heck, we may of been in the hunt this year if, not for those 3 turnovers we had last week against VT. The Oline have turned the corner and if we stay healthy, we could run the table this year...I am tired of all this Ugag talk, if Chan kept it close with Ugag, which he did these past 4 years, P.J. will most certainly give us a great chance at beating them THIS year. we just need a healthy Nesbitt for that game, and Dwyer absolutely can't go down the rest of the way...

My point is, we are very close to being a top team, depth is a concern but building fast.

I think 2010 is the magic number for a MNC. 75% of the team currently playing will be Jrs. and Srs. We should also have a solid schedule with a game versus Ole Miss (or is it Alabama?) on the schedule.

Even if we were undefeated this year, the two 1-AA opponents might have kept us out of the game, but we shouldn't have that problem in years to come. From the looks of things 2010 should also see a revitalized UNC, VT, and Miami. That would make winning the Coastal and the ACC a MNC worthy feat.

I'm excited.

CPJ's not going anywhere. AND I can't think of a better football coach in the nation right now. This man is FOR REAL. Enjoy.
