From what I understand GT’s Foundation is flush with cash. We need a campaign to reach out to these donors and explain that even though they may not be interested in athletics it is an important part of the institute, and would they please consider allocating 20% of their donation to athletics. We’ve got to go after the best coaches available and give them leeway with recruits. We should also have faculty members for these athletes. It’s either this boys or just mail it in. The game is changing at warp speed and we’re still driving a Model T.

Didn’t we just do this? What was the campaign that T Stan launched back in ‘17 or so? I was a sustainer on that one for three years.

Yes it’s a model A, but you are correct.

I’m talking about continual, year in and year out. I’m sure these alumni make an annual donation to the foundation, just carve out 20% for the athletic program. They may not care about athletics but I doubt they want the athletic program to be an embarrassment.

Auburn raised $10M in the first month of fundraising for their NIL collective, looking to raise $30M.

My understanding is we’ll be playing against a former player this season that transferred for $50k and a new car.
