on the many opportunities we were given. It was very very frustrating. If I hadn't already mailed it in this year then this would of been the most frustrating game in the streak.

I still feel like they probably beat us though, even if we capitalize on a few of those mistakes. Every time we took the lead, they marched right down the field and took it back.

They gave us chance after chance to put them away. Even Richt said he didn't think they could have come back if we'd capitalized on the gifts they tried to give us.

Chan's tight sphincter cost us today. Due to him being on the chopping block, he wasn't in a receiving mood today. If we would've slipped him some KY we might have pulled this 'un out.

Having fun? Trying to see how many stupid comments you can ,make under the guise of being cute? I'd like a coaching change, but the more you post the more I'd like to see Chan stay just to piss you off.

There were a lot of things that could've gone our way:

- Corey Erals' dropped TD on the second play of the game from scrimmage.

- Morgan Burnett's phantom pass interference call in the endzone.

- The three touchbacks (Burnett's lateral recovery and two muffs).

I'm teling you recapping the "couldas, shouldas" from this game is pure torture.

So true --it will drive you nuts. I kinda had the feeling that since we failed to capitalize on any of the opportunities that came our way --particularly during the first five minutes of the game-- we would come out on the losing end. Against a good team like UGA you have to take advantage of breaks --but no one in a gold uniform made a play.

If we have to depend on UGA muffing punts to win then we aren't playing good football.

Clearly if his asshole was looser we would have recovered one of the three fumbles in the EZ for a TD. It's obviously due to the asshole diameter of our coaching staff.

?!

True to a point GTK --but good teams do take advantage of the mistakes of their opposition --IMO it's one of the things that separates the good teams (aka Top 25 teams) from the also-rans (7-5'ers who go bowling west of the Mississippi).

Funny you should say that - IIRC (I can't force myself to watch the game again this morning), didn't U[sic]GA actually benefit from two of those touchbacks? Weren't they trying to fair catch the ball inside the 20 both times?

It was enought to make me want to throw soemthing at my friend's TV.

It was a shame that we did not recover the football on those two punts, but UGA had a fair shot at recovering the ball as well. If they had just let the ball bounce into the endzone they would have had a touchback as well.

About taking advantage of mistakes, not recovering a loose ball is a little different than not scoring after a turnover, ala Morgan Burnett.

Still, 7 points wasn't enough to change the outcome of the game.

One thing I learned Saturday is it will not be to hard for Sean Renfree to win the starting QB job next year. Which is a good thing.

Sean Renfree just makes it look easy. The Georgia Tech quarterback commitment passed for 237 yards and four touchdowns-- all in the first half-- to lead Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep past Queen Creek, 42-15, in the state playoffs. It's just one snippet of what is turning out to be an outstanding senior year for the future Yellow Jacket.

Yep...In order to beat good teams one must have a "big Time" QB and receiviers that can hold on to the friggin football.

QB and WR positions better be wide open next spring with our new coach

I didn't get to watch game but when I saw we gave up 228 yds rushing I didn't need to know more.Unless we got free Tds on fumbles, ints, etc we ARE going to lose with that stat.

Depends on if Chan is back or not...I can't really see him benching a senior QB for a freshman.

In this situation, I can't either. He has done it before though. Remember, he started the 2003 season with frosh Reggie Ball over incumbent 5th-year senior A.J. Suggs.

Damn skippy.

Speaking of such, I bet ol' Chan's brown eye is air tight tonight after thinking about his exit tomorrow.

Believe me, Chan's not nervous. He is embarrassed, but not nervous.

He'll have a job in the NFL either right after the NFL season or right after the Super Bowl.
