Nesbitt is a great athlete...but he was off today. All 3 turnovers were attributed to him. He took two sacks over 10 yards (one for 13 and one for 15)...instead of throwing the ball away. His head was not in the game today. We haven't had a great offensive game since the MSU / Duke games. Why didn't we give Jaybo a chance? I know...Josh is a better "natural athlete". But...fact is we turned the ball over much less when Jaybo was playing. And our offense was clicking. It isn't now...and hasn't in 3 games.

I agree completely. I like Josh Nesbitt. He is a great athlete. If I were coach, he'd be my starter, but I would not run a three back triple option. But, if that is the offense we want to run, then we need an option specialist. I think Shaw is the answer. The offense has looked best against Mississippi State and Duke, and I will disagree with those that argue those are poor defenses.

Troy Aikman was a better QB than Jamelle Hollieway. But, he was not a better option QB for Oklahoma. Nesbitt has QB'd against Jax State, BC, Va Tech, Clemson, and UVA. The offense has been fair in those games. He has made some great plays. We have not scored enough and made too many mistakes. The offense has looked very good in only two games.
 
I am going to drink now and eat some hot wings. I am tired of bitching about Shaw being put in.......AND IT NEVER WAS DONE!!!!!
 
The guy with more skills is clearly Nesbitt. But who is better at running this system? Who is makes the better reads? It may be Shaw.
 
Couldn't agree more. Nesbitt is a nice guy, but sucks. We definitely need to start Jaybo.
