Long overdue. One of my biggest problems with Gailey is he never gave Joe an opportunity.

I could be mistaken on this but I think that Gailey wanted to hire Joe several years ago but Joe had not yet graduated from school. Similar story ay Maryland. Friedgen wanted to hire him as a graduate assistant but was prohibited from doing so because Joe did not have a degree, yet. Anyway, he graduated recently so I think that paaved the way for his hire at Tech. I am glad that CPJ had the good sense to do so. I think that Joe can and will be a big help to the program

Couldn't have set it better myself, I know the Tech family has been long awaiting the day to see him return. We're glad to have you back Joe!
 
Just having that big Joe Hamilton grin on the sidelines is worth 7 to 10 points a game.

I've seen people as good-natured as Joe and I've seen people as talented as Joe but never anyone with as much of both as he has.

I should just sit down and write his momma a thank you note right now.

Great news for the GT football family. Appears that JH is willing to put in a little time to work his way into coaching.

BO, agree with flakjacket, you can't blame Gailey for this one. Joe didn't have his degree, therefore wasn't going to get a job with the program.
