the argument has recently been that Miami was better than us but I don’t buy that either. It would have been a good game but I think Tech would have won

And the only coach we both played called Tech the better team.

Colorado has like 1/4 a leg to stand on. By their methods let's just start calling our 2014 team National Champions.

If it was a 4 team playoff Miami might have, if they could have gotten in. They screwed up and lost 2 games so they might not have gotten in. That was why everyone forgets they beat #3 Texas 46-3 in the Cotton Bowl.

I have never brought that up anywhere else when I gloat about 1990 but they were rolling at the end of the year.
