There are few names more closely intertwined with a university and its football program than the Beamer name at Virginia Tech. Frank Beamer and his wife, Cheryl, were honored Saturday before the Notre Dame game. A monument of Beamer was unveiled just outside Lane Stadium.
 
Understand he is great friends with BossRoss, GO’L and the Fridge.

He was a good ambassador for CFB.
 
I don't get it. I know he bitched some of our, well one, of our blocking techniques. He made that program up there.
 
He put VT on the map. The guy is a College Football legend. And everyone says he's a great guy too.

Besides having great STs and over-rated teams that always lost big games and bowls, WTH did Beamer do that was noteworthy?

Let me help you out a little bit: He won the ACC multiple times and played in an MNC.
 
The climate of CFB today, guys like him won't exist anymore. Bobby, him, synder, ect. Saban is probably going to be the last dynasty coach.
